I think my father was the one who is responsible for my love of homes and home decor. He was a finish carpenter from Ireland and I used to watch him using his bandsaw to cut each piece of wood…to perfection! He did beautiful work and could not possibly have been more modest!
I don’t think that I will ever purchase a new construction home because I want to be able to have a project or two! I love planning the design and picking out all of the elements from the paint color to all of the little details like doorknobs and switchplates.
I just sold my home in Boston and the last project that I did before I sold it was my master bedroom and bath. I actually had intended to only update the bathroom but then one thing led to another and I couldn’t stop!
